Matisse Museum reopens after 18 months of closure for extension work
Reopening of the Matisse Museum
Free entry for one week
From November 23 to December 1, 2024
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What's new in the reopening
Visitors will be able to discover, thanks to a loan from the Matisse Museum in Nice, the two Fenêtre à Tahiti side by side, emblematic witnesses of Matisse's trip to Polynesia.
The museum also gives pride of place to digital technology to enhance the collections.
Finally, the inaugural exhibition How I Made My Books will showcase books illustrated by Matisse in the temporary exhibition space, from November 23, 2024 to April 13, 2025.
